TriLift Radio Frequency (RF) for Dry Eyes
TriLift RF uses gentle radio-frequency heat to warm the eyelids and reach the meibomian glands, which produce the oils that keep tears from evaporating too quickly. When these oils become thick or clogged, dry eye symptoms worsen. TriLift also incorporates Dynamic Muscle Stimulation (DMSt) technology to support the muscles involved in natural blinking, helping the glands empty more effectively.
TriLift RF helps dry eyes by:
• Melting thick oils so the glands can flow normally
• Opening clogged glands to improve natural tear oils
• Stabilizing the tear film to reduce burning, irritation, and dryness
• Supporting stronger blinking, helping the glands empty more completely
We offer two customized RF options: TriLift Dry Eye Treatment — Regular or Extended. Both options improve oil quality and flow to provide longer-lasting relief for patients with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and evaporative dry eye.
TriLift is similar to OptiLift—both are Lumenis RF technologies—but TriLift allows an extended treatment area when needed, giving us more flexibility in supporting eyelid function and blink mechanics for dry eye relief.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why would someone need an extended TriLift treatment?
The extended option allows us to treat both the eyelids and the surrounding muscles involved in blinking. This can help improve lid support, blink completeness, and meibomian gland oil flow for patients with more advanced or persistent evaporative dry eye.
Does TriLift replace other dry eye treatments?
TriLift can be used on its own or combined with other dry eye therapies such as Intense Pulsed Light, Low Level Light Therapy, ZEST eyelid micro-exfoliation, or Lipiflow. Your treatment plan is tailored to your specific type of dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction.
Is TriLift safe for the eye area?
Yes. TriLift uses controlled, gentle RF heat designed to safely warm the eyelids and support meibomian gland health. The treatment is noninvasive and well-tolerated.
How soon will I feel relief?
Many patients notice improvements in comfort, oil flow, and blinking within a few sessions. Results build gradually as the meibomian glands function more normally.

Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)
LLLT uses soft, therapeutic light to gently warm the eyelids and help the meibomian glands work properly—an important step in treating Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). This improves the oils in your tears, easing dryness, burning, grittiness, and watery eyes. We tailor every treatment using red, infrared, blue, and/or yellow light.
This painless 15-minute treatment has no downtime and is helpful for blocked oil glands, rosacea-related inflammation, and recurring styes or chalazia. LLLT can also be combined with other treatments like RF, IPL, LipiFlow, or ZEST for stronger, longer-lasting dry eye relief.
Optilight
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

OptiLight IPL is the only FDA-approved intense pulsed light treatment for dry eyes. It reduces eyelid inflammation, shrinks abnormal blood vessels, and improves the function of the meibomian glands, which produce the oils that keep tears from evaporating too quickly.

By restoring healthier oil flow, OptiLight IPL provides more stable, long-lasting dry eye relief. It is especially effective for patients with rosacea, eyelid redness, meibomian gland dysfunction, burning eyes, watery eyes, and chronic dry eye.

Lipiflow

LipiFlow
Thermal Pulsation
LipiFlow is a leading treatment for blocked meibomian glands (MGD). It applies controlled, therapeutic heat to the inner eyelids while delivering gentle, pulsating pressure to the outer eyelids. This inside-outside approach melts and clears hardened oil blockages, restoring healthy oil flow and improving tear stability.

The procedure takes about 12 minutes and provides long-lasting relief for evaporative dry eye by helping the glands function more naturally again.

ZEST
ZEST is a gentle, in-office eyelid micro-exfoliation that removes bacteria, debris, biofilm, and Demodex from the lash line using a natural okra-based gel. This deep cleaning restores a healthier environment for the meibomian glands, improving oil flow and tear stability.

ZEST helps dry eyes by:
-
Clearing debris and biofilm that block oil glands
-
Reducing Demodex-related itching and inflammation
-
Improving tear quality and reducing redness, crusting, and irritation
-
Enhancing results when combined with the above dry eye procedures.
ZEST is painless, refreshing, and ideal for patients with blepharitis, Demodex, clogged glands, or chronic dry eye symptoms.

Amazing Technology &
Treatment Options
Omega-3 blood test
Our Omega-3 Blood Test is a quick finger-prick test that measures the level of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) in your blood. Low omega-3 levels can lead to inflammation and poor oil gland function—two major causes of dry eye.

By knowing your Omega-3 Index, we can:
-
Identify omega-3 deficiency
-
Personalize your dry eye treatment plan
-
Improve oil gland function and tear stability
-

This test helps us target the root cause of inflammation and support long-term dry eye relief.
